	SHPOPL has developed a testing lab situated at EL-32, J Block, MIDC Bhosari, Pune 411026 to conduct different type of mechanical testing’s of Orthopedic implant and instrument according to ISO and ASTM testing standards. These mechanical testing’s are useful tool to derive different type of mechanical strength of products and to compare them with predicate device for design validation.

	To maintain impartiality, confidentiality and quality of testing throughout the process, organization decided to go for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification and the laboratory get approved for the same in September 2021. The state of the art equipments in the laboratory are facilitate the testing of wide range of medical devices from dental implant to intramedullary nails.

	To conduct such tests, lab is currently equiped with Universal Testing Machine, Tortion Testing Machine, Hydraulic Fatigue Tester & Pneumatic Fatigue Tester ranging from 1KN to 2KN. Specialised Salt Bath Apparatus are under installation for arthroscopic corrossion testing of implants.
