Day one was restricted to the heads of Orthopaedic Departments of various Medical Universities of Greece & advanced users of TSF, while day two was open for lecturers & residents of Athens University.
The proceedings on day one were initiated by Dr. Nina Drakou, Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon, University General Hospital, who offered general welcome to all & introduced Prof. Leonid Solomin to the delegates attending the workshop.
Dr. Leonid began with introductory presentations about Basic Principles of Deformity Correction, which was followed by a presentation about Ortho-Suv Frame hardware explaining unique features of Ortho-Suv HW & the fast strut mode for fracture reduction & gradual deformity correction mode.
Thereafter, the delegates were guided through two more workshops on bone models with built in deformities, followed by two software workshops on actual X ray cases.
On second day, the session commenced with a introductory address by Professor & Chairman Dr. Panayiotis Papagelopoulos, Department of Orthopadic Surgery, University of Athens, School of Medicine.
Following this Prof. Leonid Solomin guided the participants about the basics principles of Deformity Correction, which was followed by a presentation about Deformity Correction using Ortho-suv frame, Ortho-suv Hardware & Software.
This was then followed by hands on workshop regarding Ortho-suv Hardware & a software workshop on a common bone model. Prof. Leonid guided the delegates explaining how to assemble the hardware frame & how to use the software to correct the deformity.
The general feedback of the participating delegates was very positive & they appreciated the wonderful features of the Ortho-suv hardware, as well as, its software.
The workshops on both the days were organized very well by the University’s Orthopaedic department, with the support of our Greece Distributor, DMP Hellas.
